Snow in Milan

As many other cities in northern Italy, Milan has been under a light but steady snowfall for the past one and a half days and will receive more snow today. The city has programmed salting and volunteer snow shoveling to counter negative effects on mobility. The snow is supposed to subside on Thursday afternoon but the cold will not. The following temperatures are foreseen: Friday February 3 min -10°C max -2°C, Saturday February 4 min -13°C max -2°C, Sunday 5 February min -11°C max -3°C, Monday 6 February min -9°C max -5°C. Due to a Siberian front descending on the peninsula, the below zero temperatures should remain until the 15th of February making this the coldest winter in the last 27 years.

For what concerns Milan area's airports, Milano Linate airport has programmed to cancel 14 departing and 5 arriving flights. You can check the latest news by clicking here

For Malpensa airport, flights are until now functioning normally. Click here for any further information.
